“The Hunchback of Notre Dame is my favourite Disney movie. We did a play of it at school when I was 11. I was Esmerelda, I even sang God Help the Outcasts. A lot of people don’t like it because it’s considered ‘Disney at it’s darkest’ but that’s the reason I like it. Most Disney movies have the main character talking in a happy tone no matter their troubles. It also shows not all movies have the Hero marrying his crush at the end. This is Disney showing us that not everybody has a happy tale.”
